Kiwanis Club of Woodland Mission Statement
The Kiwanis Club of Woodland, California is a local service club of volunteers dedicated to making positive impact on the lives of youth and disadvantaged adults in our community.
Our focus is on contributing in ways that make a difference: provide a positive image for the Kiwanis Club of Woodland, and build and maintain good club spirit.
In keeping with Kiwanis International guidance, our first priority is to help children from prenatal to age 5 in the following ways:
- Maternal and Child Health
- Child Care and Development
- Parent Education and Support
- Safety and Pediatric Trauma Prevention
School-aged youth are supported in a number of ways, including: back-to-school assistance with clothing, supplies and services; high school Key Clubs sponsorship; and scholarships to college-bound high school seniors in Woodland.
We support adults in our local community through Meals on Wheels; Handy Helpers (providing simple home repairs); Aktion Club sponsorship; and Kiwanis Family House, in addition to many other community service activities.
Our aim is to support the goals of Kiwanis International while making a difference in our community -- one child, one family at a time.
